Telene 1800 Series main features

  • Overcomes sensitivity to moisture and oxygen
  • Low viscosity makes it an easy formulation to work with

Telene 1800 initial applications areas

Adhesive

  • Corrosion-resistant adhesive for pDCPD parts used in harsh chemical environments.
    For instance, monobloc pDCPD parts; more than 6m long have been constructed using
    1800 Series as chemical welding material

Prototypes

  • Enables production of "actual properties". Telene pDCPD models for field-tests and
    marketing presentations of parts featuring key properties of Telene
  • Shorter time-to-market; lower tool cost
  • Possibile to mold accurate geometry or to cast near-net shapes that will be
    machine-finished afterward

Encapsulation of electrical devices for demanding applications

  • Low dielectric constant
  • High breakdown voltage
  • To be combined with exceptional anticorrosion properties, e.g., in marine/offshore conditions

Standard grades

  • Telene 1810 and 1811 are the first two grades to reach commercial status
  • Both have found various applications, including in the prototyping area
    • With its lower viscosity (ca. 170 mPa.s), Telene 1811 is more prone to hand casting
    • Whereas Telene 1810, with its slightly higher viscosity (ca. 330 mPa.s), is a perfect
      fit for machine-casting, including low-pressure types
  • To be combined with exceptional anticorrosion properties, e.g., in marine/offshore conditions
